Feels like a typical dutch pub with your typical snacks and bevarages to choose from. Pretty interesting location. Super friendly staff.
Foods okayish, wasn't overly impressed. Traditional Dutch courses but weren't prepared as good as they could be.
A real cozy place. Thumbs up!
Great historical spot in Rotterdam. My grandparents and their kids set foot on Dutch soil in this area of Rotterdam's port in 1951. Pictures of all those ships that departed to and arrived from far away places are on the walls inside the pub. It was a warm day when we visited this place, so we only went inside to check out the pics. Then we looked for a table outside to enjoy our food and drinks. We ordered the spareribs from their daily specials menu. The meals came rather swiftly and were of good sizing. Sorry, no pics of the spareribs, too hungry ?? The ribs were prepared well, with the meat falling off the bone as it should. The bill was reasonable as well and the service was professional and with a smile. Hope to return here again soon!
An excellent bar with the friendliest staff!!! My girlfriend and I were staying in a Air BnB place near to the bar. We decided to stop in on our way home. We chatted with the bartender who served us the best Dutch Balls o- meat ever. Unfortunately we only had our credit cards to pay the tab and they only take cash. So we had walk to the nearest ATM, which is quite far. When we returned it was after 2:00 am. However the bartender remained open and we all chatted until later that night. She told us all about the fascinating history of the location and the bar. It was a great night. We will definitely be returning
